Creating Wedding Rings from 18kt Yellow Gold
Design with emotion: making a pair of wedding rings is one of our favorite jobs. Our service includes one or two fittings with our customers. Time is worth its weight in gold: in peace and quiet, we create jewelry for your lifetime together. On average, the process takes two to four weeks, from our initial consultation to completion.
In these photos you can follow our work in the studio, step by step:
1. First, we smelt the metal to create the alloy.
2. This is the so-called “tube”...
3. ... which is then tempered and hammered.
4. After the metal is pressed into the correct diameter, it is bent into form and soldered.
5. The joint (solder seam) is filed smooth. The ring can then be straightened on the ring bar.
6. After that the ring is filed and sanded.
7. Finally, we apply the desired finish.
8. Et voilà: the wedding rings are ready for fitting!
